I bought this computer for my college classes. I needed a computer that was able to stream google Docs. and research quick enough to keep up with classroom discussions. This computers does this wonderfully, I have had no problem with this computer running everything i need it to run, witch includes around 2 google docs. pages, at least 4 research pages and my pandora. This laptop runs all of that without any kind of trouble. the wake up is under 10 seconds and the shut down takes only 3 seconds. I purchased the wifi version instead of the LTE version just to specify. The one question I did not find the answer to on this page or googles, is how good is the battery life. I can tell you truthfully that I would not be afraid of taking this computer to school without the charger because the battery is that good. On a 100% charge the computer tells me i have just under 8 hours left. but you can stretch that for as long as you need because the shutdown and startup are so quick. I have gone to a total of 32, two and one half hour classes on one complete charge to dead. The only thing that I would like changed is the storage. 16 gb of storage is not a lot, even if you have the terabyte of cloud storage, this does not help with apps. I reached my limit rather quickly, but this does not bother me so much because I can have the apps on my smart phone instead and this is my second computer. I purchased this as my portable note taker and researcher when I cant use my desktop. I could not find a better students laptop for students. I also found the stamp on the bottom of my computer that tells me that this is indeed a g4 edition. hope this helps and sorry it is long.

    This review is from: HP ChromeBook 11 G4 EE: 11.6-inch (1366×768) | Intel Celeron N2840 2.16GHz | 16GB eMMC SSD | 4GB RAM | Chrome OS – Black (Personal Computers)
I know it is a Chromebook and despite good stats for the display, don’t expect anything on the screen to dazzle, like your tablet or computer or even your phone. this is an inexpensive, reliable basic work product. I use it as an uncomplicated backup drive on vacation to which I transfer photos to either google drive or the device itself from my camera’s SD card. Contrary to the product description as incorporating a multimedia card reader, I needed to purchase a separate USB drive to transfer the photos from the SD card. If you are not in a hurry it is all right, but note the transfer is really, really slow. I have not tried using my camera’s mini HDMI outlet to the Chromebook HDMI outlet, sincerely doubt that the transfers would be any quicker.

    Sound Issue, April 13, 2016

The Chromebook was great except the fact that the sound would just stop working and sometimes it would restart by shutting down the internet tabs and opening it back up…sometimes I’d have to restart the whole computer. Everything showed that the volume was on and maxed, but nothing…It was super frustrating (it happened daily) so I ended up returning it. It would have been a great computer if it didn’t have the sound issue.
